There are no gears in the engine to make a difference. A B16A connected to a YS1 Integra transaxle is going to turn the same RPM as a B18A connected to the same YS1 at the same speed.

8000 rpms in 2nd lol will hit about 70 for me... actually not quite maybe 60. 5th gear at 70 is about 2500 with an hf 5th gear, with a zc 1-4, i love my tranny and as it was said b4 it does not matter what car u have the input shaft of any tranny will spin a certain amount of times as the output shaft will turn a different amount depending on what gear ur in, engine makes no difference whatsoever.

so tell me this... i had a d16a6 complete engine and at 70 i redline in 3rd gear... i did a mini-me swap (a6 bottom end/z6head) and now 3rd gear brings me to 80. tell me how that works... and yes same tranny, same everything but the head.. lets see this now smart guy!!!

well, if the tranny didnt change then its obviouly somthing else...Did you change your wheels? Did the redline change?( which i think it does between ECU's if u swapped ecu

Then the speedo has to be off or you remember it wrong.

Changing the head didnt change gear ratio, but if your redline went up, obviously your going to top higher in each gear...

i looked today at what i was at...my vafc said ~4000K but then again my speedo is off...but i dunno how much.

i changed my head, and reprog'd the ecu so it redlines at 9g. i dun think i have a higher topspeed though. cant know for sure b/c my speedo only goes to 120. i need a rev speed meter..apex'i makes a good one that has options like: aftermarket wheel size, 0-60, 1/4 et, 1/8 et, 60-0, and is really accurate when used with the g-sensor b/c it compensates for wheel spin. if you are really worried bout your speed buy one of these. they are 306$ shipped with the g-sensor. http://www.inlinefour.com

it looks like that but with rpm's and speed not throttle position...
