Honda extends warranty on Odyssey, TL transmissions

TOKYO - Honda Motor Co. is extending the warranty on automatic transmissions installed on about 100,000 1999 model-year Acura TLs and Honda Odysseys.
The vehicles were sold in the United States.
Honda did not say how many of the transmissions have been repaired already.
Honda said the warranty will be extended to 7 years/100,000 miles from 3 years/36,000 miles for the Odyssey and from 4 years/50,000 miles for the Acura TL.
Last September, Honda announced extended coverage for 2000-2003 Honda Odysseys, Accords and Preludes, and Acura TLs and CLs.

The owner should've received a form/letter from Acura about the extended warranty.

TL Trans Problems
I own a '99 TL with 113K and the trans acts a little funky every so often. It has never failed us, but I have heard rumblings about the trans on it both online and from my dealer. Has anyone else had such problems? Other than that, we love the car. Of course, the warranty extension is only to 100K...
We also own a '94 Integra with 173K and are trying to decide which car to replace, or hold on to them both

99TL Tranny Warranty to be extended
Where can I find more info on extended coverage for 2000-2003 Honda Odysseys. I went to Auto-week, but didn't really find anything to back this statement up. I need to know, my 2002 Odyssey trans is going out at 52,000 miles.

Is it worth purchasing extended warranty?
The warranty on my TL 2000 (automatic) is about to expire. Even though the warranty for the trans was automatically extended, is it worth purchasing an additional 2-3 year warranty for the entire vehicle?
