What follows is word-for-word from Acura TSB 97-040 and NOT from my direct experience.
------------------------
2004 TL with factory-installed security system
These transmitters are integrated into the Driver’s Position Memory System. When the doors are unlocked with the remote transmitter, Memory 1 or Memory 2 in the DPMS is activated, depending on the transmitter used. When the driver’s door is opened, the seat and mirrors move to the positions stored in the activated memory.
Programming the Transmitter
NOTES:
• The system accepts up to three transmitters. The transmitter codes are stored in a stacking-type memory. If a fourth transmitter code is programmed, the code for the first transmitter will be erased.
• Entering the programming mode cancels all learned transmitter codes, so none of the previously programmed transmitters will work. You must
reprogram all the transmitters once you’re in the programming mode.
• You must complete steps 1-6 within 4 seconds of the previous step to keep the system from exiting the programming mode.
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Press the “Lock” or “Unlock” button on one of the transmitters. (An unprogrammed transmitter can be used for this step.)
3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
4. Repeat steps 1, 2, and 3 two more times. Use the same transmitter used in step 2.
5. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
6. Press the “Lock” or “Unlock” button on the same transmitter. Make sure the power door locks cycle to confirm that the system is in programming mode.
7. Within 10 seconds, press the “Lock” or “Unlock” button on each transmitter, including the one used to enter the programming mode. Make sure the power door locks cycle after you press each transmitter button to confirm that the system accepted the transmitter’s code.
8. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) to exit the programming mode.
Linking and Unlinking the Remote Transmitter
To link and unlink the remote transmitter from the DPMS, press and hold the “Unlock” and “Lock” buttons at the same time for about 1 second. The LED on the transmitter blinks once to indicate linked or twice to indicate unlinked.
Ordering a Transmitter
Transmitters can be ordered only by authorized Acura dealers. Order them from American Honda using normal parts ordering procedures.
Batteries for the Transmitter
The battery number is CR2025. Each transmitter uses one battery.
------------------------
Hope this helps.

i'm pretty new to this, so i dunno how the tsb thing works, but i looked up TSB's for the 2007 TL and if i understand it correctly, there's only one out for the "engine and engine cooling system."

No, there are lots of TSBs. Just as one example, there's a TSB every year that lists the new paint codes. Not sure, but I think Acuraworld dot com has copies of TL TSBs.

yeah i went to acuraworld and looked at the TSB's, but I couldn't find another one that mentioned the remotes. it's possible that i just missed it, but maybe there's something wrong with my remotes too.
