The headunit will power the speakers. Really depends on the specs of the headunit you ordered, but they will power the speakers.

But if you get an amp the speakers will sound MUCH better and will sound louder too, but you said your only working with $150 and you basically spent that for the speakers so I say save up and get her a good amp for Valentines Day..:thumbup:

With the amp make sure you get a good one and dont crap out... you get what you pay for

so for 100-150 range..infinity ref component is the best for that price right?

**** i was debating between the infinity $105 and alpine SPR-176A type R for $145 as a special..and i accidently click to get the alpine one(was in a rush to leave work) so should i keep the order with alpine or cancel and get the infinity???..damn im soo f *ck lost....

the alpine r comps got great reviews for a component set with an emphasis on build quality... so what ever you want bro
