2 way or 3 way?
#5
I've heard that good 3 way speakers are harder to make, so if you're in the same price range, the 2 way speakers will perform much better. For good 3 ways you should have to pay a lot more money. Otherwise, what would be the point of getting 2 ways when 3 ways cover the same or more range, better? That's just what I've read.

3 ways. A two way, you only get woofer and a combination mid/tweeter. A three way, you get woofer, dedicated mid and dedicated tweeter. I would recommend the 3 ways for the same reason I would recommend components over coax's, better sound due to each component of the speaker(s) playing only a specified freq range.

3 way is only as good as installation. if you don't plan to get them professionally intalled and setup, then just go with 2 way

before i start to explain i get to make something clear first so i don't feel like a dumb ***.. the 3 way i meant has a pair of tweeters, a pair mid and a pair of woofers.
in most cases you have to build a kick panel for the woofers if mid's going into the door and tweets in the dash or whatever.
you want the kick panel to be professionally done so that the sound stage is at the optimum level. make sense?
