get your shit right. if you have never had any experience with these subs then dont talk at all. they will take 1000+ each, yes each 10, provided that you set the gains accordingly, sending unclipped signals. sending each sub 500watts will not do them any justice. seriously.
that sub can take any wattage you put to it, but putting the proper amount to the sub will keep you in waranty and a safe operating range without worry of blowing it. putting a 1000 rms on that sub, yes it can handle it, no it won't handle it for long because where does the amp start putting 1000rms to the sub. when the volume is on 1 out of 30, 10 out of 30. 30 out of 30? if it puts out 1000rms to one sub when the volume one the hu is at 10, then it will keep pumping out more and more the louder you turn it up, once you reach the limit of the sub it will go

Thats when you learn to adjust the controls on the amp.

im willing to bet you that longevity of that 10 will not decrease with that given amount of power vs the proper amount of power that is recommended.

that sub will handle 1000rms all day, daily. in the right conditions or course: clean signal, proper box. i beat the shit out of my type r 12 for months, with more power then what i recommend in the first place, and it never crapped out on me once. of course it stank but never once failed me.

if you were to max out the volume on your headunit, of course you're gonna start blowing shit up due to clipping. this goes for most decks out there, if not all. there's a limit to where you can turn it up to not clip.

I'm not going for "loud". I'm going for a good, clean, crisp bass sound with this install. The reason I'm very interested in this amp is because it seems to have the power needed to drive two 10" type R subs and it also has the Bass Link option so I can tune the amp from my HU (Alpine 9855) I've already got the box for it.(sealed dual 10" enclosure made from 1" fiberboard)

My main reason for asking is to see if anyone has run this set-up, how it worked, and if my calculations were correct.
