Default Battery Relocation Kit

I was wondering if anyone is using the Summitracing battery relocation kit part number SUM-G1200A? I want to go ahead and relocate my battery to the rear but I worried that this box with not be approved by the NHRA inspectors when I'm at the drag strip.

Any feedback would be great or any other recommendations.

I heard about some problems with loss of current, the longer the current has to travel, the more it drops..

just wondering why you want too do that? For better handling? Well do not plant to install a door speaker amp with it or you will have noise.

only reason why I would do it is if I'm installing a turbo, then I would need that space in the front to route 2 intake pipes...

The reason that i'm wnating to do this is because i need room to mount my oil filter cause i'm relocating it also because on the SH block it is a pain in the ass to get to so that is one reason. Also i plan on mounting it where the spare tire go's so it can be bolted to the frame and then run the wires away from the trunk to the underside of the car.

The amp idea doesn't bother me a great deal that can be corrected with proper wire runs

it's not a problem at all, just use 2 or 0 gauge wire....preferably the 0. Although, in either case, you should be more than fine with the 2. The key is a *GOOD* ground....and then also it would help to install one of those cheap grounding kits. Make sure to use RF shielded wires as well....I think it's "legal" in the NHRA so long as it's installed correctly.

sup man, mine is in the back.. i think in order for it to be legal you have to weld in the J bolts that's provided with the box for it to be secure...

btw i've had no problems
