Default Building F23 ?'s

I've been thinking about building the F23 instead of swaping an H22. Main reason being that I only have 50K on my engine and still have extended warrantee and it runs perfect, ect. On this site I found pistons for our car in either 8.8:1 (aren't these stock for f22) or 11:1 pistons. Also 85mm or 85.5? I'm just trying to gain as much info on this as I can, so anyone that has any advice let me know. Oh, and F22 pistons will work for the F23 right? I'm pretty sure they will since it's bascally the exact motor. Only thing that worries me is the F22 has 8.8 compression and the F23 has 9.3. Right now all I have is e/i/h/p +plugs and wires, but I plan on getting forged pistons, a new cam & cam gear, and a port n polished head. Will I need to do any tuning with just my current setup + the pistons? Also will a bigger fuel pump help out this type of setup? I really appreiciate ANY help, Thanks

Since youre keeping the F23 I'd stay with lower compression pistions and build up the motor for a nice turbo set up.

So you're saying get the forged 8.8:1. right? I'd love to go turbo in the future, but I will only do this when I've done enough internal work to be able to safely boost at least 10psi daily.

F23 bore is 86.0mm I don't think F22 pistons will work, but I'm not 100% about the F22s bore.

If you're building the F23, what are you doing for a cam? I've been looking into one for mine. I'm considering a regrind pretty seriously. I've just heard too many customer service nightmares about gude to think about them. you might be interested in this thread http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=608846

you realize that building the motor will void the warranty right?

likely a bigger fuel pump won't help terribly unless you change to a very high flowing intake manifold (read: Individual Throttle Bodies), otherwise, a good reliable stock one should do fine....it all depends, you might need a slight upgrade in the injectors however......at least a good balancing and blueprinting job.

Bump the compression up to 10:1

The F22 runs 85mm pistons, the reason that raceeng.com has 85.5mm pistons is because when they ordered sleeve kits from darton, darton machined the sleeves to be 85.5mm bore, therefore making them useless with the standard pistons. I know this for a fact, because I was the person who ordered the first sleeve kit from raceeng.com that was machined to 85.5mm and I had to return my original pistons and wait for wiseco to make the 85.5mm ones.

You know you can safely do that on a stock block with tuning right?

yeah, thats what alot of people say, but everyone has different opinions about how much psi is safe for a stock motor. I personally don't know enough about motors to know what to actually believe. I do know that if I ran like 5-7 psi I would still want more speed, and I'd get impatient and eventually crank up the boost till at least 8-12. (everyone does) I've heard bad news about every form of f/i so i'm a little scared right now. Just wanted to get some info and see if anyone even had built f-series motors

I was interested in gude before, but never really found anyone with personal expierience of them so I didn't want to try it without knowing. It's hard to believe some 65 year old lady on the phone that guarantees 45whp. Also they don't even specify a difference between the f22 and f23. It says that the head package is for all vtec accords from like 94-01 or some shit.?

Everyone really does like to talk shit on regrinds, so that makes me nervous too.

Damn I'm confused! I'm just gonna save my money for now untill i'm positive about all this shit. I might just get a little 50 shot to hold me over untill I can afford an H22.
