Default Tires?

I have 18's and they said that for the wheel I have it is better to use 225 instead of say 215 or 205... My question is will this work on my 94EX with coil overs or will I have some rubbing problems

** oh, and in case it matters I am going to use a 40 series tire

depends on how wide your rims are.

40 series??

That doesn't add up I believe with an 18 on Accords you should be running 35 series tires to get the correct cambination for your speedo to read close to correct.

Yeah, I don't care about the speedo... My issue is the rubbing.. and I am thinking that the wheels are going to be 8.0 or 8.5... I know they wont be 7.5... Will it make a difference between 8.0 and 8.5?? I would get 35 series but the roads in richmond are shit

I have 225/40/18 on my 6th gen (01) with stock suspension and all is well. I think the tires are barely larger (diameter) than the stock

8/8.5" is pretty damn wide on a 5th gen (high chance u will rub, esp if you are lowered). it partly depends on whether you are lowered or not. to avoid rubbing hte knuckle, you would have to have a low offset and it would push it out closer to the fender, maybe sticking out.

you probably need 225 for 8" or 8.5" wide tires, 205 good up to around 7.5" wide andt here arent that many 215 wide sizes compared to 205/225.
