well chrome rims are heavy as is, if you're looking @ 18 they'll be pretty damn heavy. since you say you're not racing (like all of us are anyways ) you'll notice a difference but u don't care so blah...hehe

get them if they make you happy, i guess in miami you're bling bling factor ownz the california's JDM factor h:

screw performance, chromies on hondas don't look good. save them for SUVS, trucks, other domestics and german luxury cars. Just get a nice set of non chrome 19s.

Default to each their own man

if that's what you like then go for it. personally i'm not a fan of chrome on anything except an suv but that's the way i see it. they will slow you down but if you're not worried about that then do what makes you happy.

with heavier rims, you'll start messing with other aspects of the car.

your stopping time will increase (more mass, more time to slow down)
your mpgs will be down
if you go with 18's ... you might need to recalibrate your speedo

it's nothing major, but driving will take some getting use to.

If you get OEM or 6 spoke clean chrome that isn't bad. Its the Escalade bling bling rims on Accords that is :ghey:

to each their own, that's what i say. but to address your question about abs/braking, the abs system itself won't be affected, but it will feel harder to stop the car due to the heavier rims. you may find that it might be near impossible to engage the abs due to the increased rotational inertia of the wheels.

i had similar problems with my 1st set of 17". they were heavy (for not being chromed). it felt as though i could never get abs to kick in.
