man...it's really sad when he has to post a title like that...i understand why tho...somebody says one lil thing and they get flamed like mad...whas the pt of having an open discussion board if ppl are scared of getting flamed all the time...u can give criticism w/o flaming the guy...btw...not pointing at this thread...there are plenny others

anyway...if u like it...don't worry bout all these other ppl on this board, most of which you prolly don't know...but those things are gonna be soooo heavy...if u just plan on driving round town showin em off...doesn't really matter too much bout the weight does it

tho IMO...i don't like chrome

I'm suprised that ppl are saying all the negative) performance aspects of larger rims. I have 225/40/18 and the accord can now corner on a dime and stoping power seems a 100 times better. When I slam on the brakes the car grips and the brakes don't even think about locking up. I can brake harder without lockup that the stock would do. Acceleration wise u will be slower. The engine will have trouble pushing all that rubber surface are forward. Its not a tremendous slow down but if u drive hard u will feel it. U can also forget about those long smokey burnouts on dry pavement. At least in my case I can only get a gentle burnout going and thats with the car straining its ass off. I don't do it anymore.

Definately get the rims. Chrome is up to u but just the fact of having low profile and wide tires is worth it. Before u put on ur new rims/tires push ur car (with ur hands) side to side and watch how much it will move around on the tire. Do the same with ur new wheels and u will see why the handling is soooo much better.

eh... "brakes don't think about locking up" actually isn't a good thing. it may mean your brakes now can't effectively stop the heavy wheels so you're not getting maximum braking potential. your car will actually take longer to stop.

I couldn't help but laugh at the title! Look man it's your ride do whatever you want. You know what people think about chrome rims on HAN but yet you want them anyways. You really shouldn't care what other people think. What is it with FL people and chrome rims on Hondas?

Yeah - I just got back from Florida, and I couldn't believe all the Hondas with chrome wheels! Way, way more than I ever see around here. Also almost all of the 2003 Accords that we saw down there had pin stripes.

Did we all forget when VETO posted this

Accord with chrome and non-chrome wheels. Everyone that saw the cars hafd the biggest hard ones. It all depends on which chrome rims you choose that will make or break your car.

Good luck Homie!
