Default Newbie needs some help

Looking at a 93 Accord SE tomorrow afternoon and need to know if there is anything particular to look for.

Few questions too.

Is this year accord suseptable to rust on the quarters? If so is there anything that can be done about it?

Was there a remote keyless entry option on this year?

Thanks in advance.

rust is the main proble, the next is to make sure it has had it's timing belt/water pump changed. Check the door handles, they break a lot, also check the A/C and heater knobs. Otherwise, just the basic mechanical stuff.

if its a southern car, you should be ok as far as the rust goes... Like they said... make sure the timming belt is done (should be done at 80-90,000 mile intervals), make sure the temperature control on the climate control works... the cables are known to go bad... The SE had ABS, make sure the ABS light is not on... and that the system functions properly. Sometimes people disconnect the ABS computer when the light comes on so no problem is apparent untill you need the ABS. The wheel speed sensors are known to go bad. There was keyless entry available as an option... however, it is very hard to find a 93 with keyless entry. It can always be very easily added though.

Yep, yep yep...I have a 91 and the drivers door handle is about to break and the temp control is starting to get harder to turn...so it's probably gonna break soon, too.

Has the main relay & distributor been replaced? If not, you will end up replacing them...it's just a 4gen thing!
Relay is easy and cheap...distributor will leave you stranded. I know...mine has eaten two!

Other than that they are awesome cars! I drive the $hit out of mine.
