Question on Special Accords

Question on Special Accords
Well, I want to know more about special edition accords, since.... I HAVE ONE! I know they are LX based.. The first question i have is this... I was going to buy some indiglow gauges for my car, but the seller said they only fit LX and EX not SE. He said the holes for the gauges are drilled different. Is this true, and if it is, is this something that you can modify to fit? Thanks

so the 96-97 EX don't have V-TEC?
i know that the 94-95 have V-TEC
so wouldn't that indicate that since an SE motor is non vtec, you'd need to get guages that are non-vtec?
edit:what i mean by that is ones that redline just above 6 grand, and not like 8 or whatever
