I have a completely stock 99 accord ex v6 coupe that I am putting a audio system into... but i have spec questions and would like some recomendations. I'm pretty good with directions and installations (thank god for legos... or my systems engineering degree) but general points of instruction and some 'gotchas' might help too. for reference... I listen to NIN and Linkin Park and alice and chains for the most part.

*I'm putting the Panasonic CQ-HX1083U Head in.
*I've also inherited a Alpine MRV-F450 5channel amp.

1. What I would like to know is the stock dimensions (specs) on the 6X9s and 6 1/2s so that i dont have to cut up my doors or drill all day (ie aftermarket brand preference for '99 Hondas)

2. Would a sub really be necessary being that I don't need to go deaf? should I go with the 5 Channels or just stick to 4 Channels with some badass 6X9s... this is also a bit of a money question.

 

If you ain't ghetto or trying to be I would get a good 4 channel amp and some bad ass 6x9's.

 

The biggest 6x9 you can fit in the Accord coupe is a 2 7/8 mount depth.

Not sure about the doors yet.

 

Thanks for the 6X9 info... anyone know about the door mounted 6 1/2s? any installation tips?
