only build up your f22 motor if you're going to turbo it..otherwise, the f22 is not a great m otor to go N/A.

if i were you, id keep your f22 motor, build it up a little, and boost it. the f22 has low compression(like 8.8:1) which is ideal for boost, and has strong connecting rods and the block itself is strong too.

I was in the same predicament a little while ago. With the f22, you can build and boost it but just know that it will take quite some time. There are no shelfed parts for that motor and custom ordering will take months upon months depending on the turnaround time of companies right now. Furthermore with the f22, down the road, you will always think, "Dam if I upgraded or had an h22, what would that be like?" You are limiting yourself with the f22 because you could have always gone with an h22.

At the same time, the f22 motor build is much more cost effective and saves you mad money. So it all boils down to preference I guess.

I personally went with the h22 and built it and now its boosted anf running great!! Good luck...

You can run about 10 to 14 psi of boost on a stock h22 with not problem. You just need it tuned well and a good boost and fuel management unit. So if you plan on running more than that. I'd go with the f22. But about 13 psi is going to put around 300 whp down with a h22.

Your choice man.

i beg to differ.... there are plenty of aftermarket parts for the F22, you just have to know where to look.

you'll at least need a a thinner head gasket to reduce compression with 10lbs of boost. going near 14lbs on stock internals is crazy, the ringlands will not last.

get a set of raceeng 11:1 pistons for an f22, shotpeen/balance the rods put some ARP rod bolts in.....
go to exospeed or a few other places and see about a reground cam.
i dont think an all motor f22a will ever be what an h22a can be but you take it a lot further than you could 4 years ago.
