I own a TSX and its has a lot of little problems here and there like A/C problems, rattling dashboard, moderate vibrating at idling, etc. I am not surprised about this recall on JDM Accords, which are essentially the Acura TSXs here.

Also, my tranny is beginning to shift hard everytime I shift. I have 11k miles on it now and it feels like the tranny might go soon. :wtc:

I got that same letter about a week ago. It doesn't mention RECALL, though that's what it seems to be. Most of the items listed there all involve rain or snow. Considering I live in a place where I see very little of either, I shouldn't be affected too badly, however I will still take it in to get fixed when I get a chance.

It's too bad Honda didn't do something about the steering vibration. I noticed a service bulltein in early 2003 where Honda wanted to inspect any cars where the owners reported steering wheel vibration - it didn't say whether it was a known problem and didn't list any solutions, it just said that American Honda wanted to inspect any cars that reported the vibration.

Do you have a 4 cyl? The 4 cyl's have an awful vibration in gear with the A/C on. Hopefully, Honda has a fix on the way for the vibrations and the brake pulsations...

I hope these problems don't become a trend with Honda. We've already had several complaints from owners. It doesn't look good when a customer says their '93 Accord has fewer vibrations and rattles than their '03. Most Honda customers (and me) hold Honda to a higher standard.

Oh, yeah...

So far, there's 4 product updates for the '03 Accords but they only apply to certain VINs.

Multiplex Integrated Control Unit
EVAP Canister Drain Joint
Intake Air Breather Pipe
No-Reverse Condition

My 4cyl doesn't have that problem at all, A/C on or off. Do you think, from what you've seen, that most do or don't have this vibration problem?

I also don't have any rattles whatsoever. Do you think that could be because my car is a DX so I don't have as much "stuff" to rattle around? (No overhead console/map lights, no power locks, etc.)?

Do you mean when the engine is idling? When I'm idling with the A/C on (I have the 4 cyl), there's a bad vibration in the steering wheel. Also, when I'm driving down the road I can feel a vibration in the wheel (but only when applying power - on the gas - when I let off the pedal, the vibration goes away.

Most Honda customers (and me) hold Honda to a higher standard.
Me included. I like my 03 Accord, however my next vehicle will likely not be a Honda.
