check engine light, code 6
#3
A few weeks ago I think that I found the problem. When I when to test the ECT the plastic connector was covered in oil and crumbled in my hands. It took me this long to find a junk yard that would let me cut just that one sensor wire (cost $2), all the other yards wanted me to buy the whole harness. In the next few days when I can get to it I'll change the wire and reconnect the ECT and see what happens. I hope this will fix the fault codes.

The replacement wire is on the car and the ECT is now plugged up. The light has stopped flashing fault codes and went out. The problem is fixed. Thanks again for the help.
