my AEM pads seem to make noise now when they are cold. when they were new they were quiet. it's not bad though. remember really performance pads are noisy, so i'm guessing once the AEMs are broken in they perform better.

brake quiet is what the stuff is called. you install it on the shims that go in back of the pads. this type of noise is caused by inproper installation and not from the pads.

also notice an asbestos type smell when i get on my brakes hard or when i'm in traffic and the brakes get really hot from going 0-30-0 every 3 seconds.

I went stock and Im extremely happy I did. Even came with a little packet of the grease. Remove the old pads and shims and put grease in the same spots on the new set, then put them back on.

Havent heard a peep from my brakes (Ive replaced both the backs and fronts now with stock pads and they've been silent for the whole time).

If you get them online they arent much more than a set of Raybestos. From the dealer is a different story, but still worth it in my opinion.

I just got a set of everex; didn't squeek or anything; costed me $27

works pretty well...

I will throw away the car in about 3 years, so I don't want to put down any more investment into the car; I was surprised to find out that those brake pads are actually decent....

I also replaced my pads with OEM, they're great.

yep, they were fine when new. they only squeek when you get on the brakes kinda hard when cold. i think that is due to the brake material though and not the install.

usually if you pads at autozone they'll ask you if you need some and they give you some for free. also ask about some foam shims. my friend got those too and they also help keep things quiet. they stick to the back of the pad.

cool, I'm going to check out autozone this weekend, and get some brake quite, and the foam shims. I'm psyched, my pads and rotors came in yesterday. Damm, Nopi works fast
