The RSX will also have a better warranty, but I believe the Accord has some features on it...I'm just not sure what. I know the interior is a whole lot nicer.
don't forget about the K24 in the TSX, too bad that car also suffers from being overweight.

i'm not sure on the LX accords, but generally they have lesser quality interiors and features than the EX models. i'm sure whatever a base RSX has is comparable.

i personally would never buy another I4 4dr accord, too under powered and the styling is ugly ever since 98. a V6 coupe is where it's at.

I wouldn't call the TSX overweight...go and drive it. It feels lighter than the RSX. The Accord feels like a barge next to it. With all the safety crap and luxury stuff in the TSX, the weight is no mystery.

He's not looking at an Accord sedan foo, he's looking at the Coupe. The Coupe 4 banger with a 5 speed is faster than the 98-02 AV6. He obviously doesn't care about power, so please don't give bad advice about a V6. It'd be 2 grand wasted for him.

And no, I can't understand the logic of not caring about having more than enough power either, but just go with it

The LX has the same amount of quality, but lacks such goodies as leather seats (optional on EX 4 banger), XM radio (for 2004), moonroof, power driver's seat, dual automatic climate control and a few other goodies like that. But if you don't care about the goodies, you might as well save the money:dunno:

pick the accord lx, the rsx is too compact. accord coupes front and back looks better the rsx. also the accords interior looks better.

i guess i failed to notice he was looking at a 2dr accord, but he's still not buying a 5sp either. so i still rather have the V6, for resale reasons. a 2dr auto coupe I4 probably won't be worth jack in a few years unless it's a 5sp. whereas the V6 auto/manual should maintain it's value better.

i think down the road the market for base RSX auto will be better than for a 2dr LX coupe accord. chicks dig an RSX, they don't dig the new accords as much, which is basically the prime target 3-5yrs down the road when you sell that type of car.

about the TSX, it seemed attractive till i found out it made similar power to my H22 Accord and weighed in 200lbs more. coming from my persective, it's not the choice for me.

The 4 banger will hold its value just as nicely as the V6. V6 costs 2 grand more than the I4, and no way in hell he gets 2 grand more for selling a V6 than an I4 in 4 or 5 years.

Second paragraph is subjective.

Drive the TSX before you diss it. Numbers on paper account for nothing in that car. In that car, accleration isn't all that matters. The level of quality, precision and handling is something that I have never seen from an Acura product...it is easily the finest sedan Acura has ever come out with.

now that we are totally OT. . . :fawk:

ask ur3133t (colby) about this. He works at Acura in Groton CT and drives TSXs and RSXs all day. He had some pretty good things to say about the TSX last time i checked. . .

I totally respect the K24 motors. They have lots of midrange torque and daily drivability is very awesome. If i didn't know jack shit about accords, i would totally believe that the K24 was a V6. I feel that auto rsx is a waste of money since it does not offer performance nor comfort, so id go for the accord lx in this case. The new TSX is quite possibly one of my favorite mid size sedans for i have driven them for quite a bit, and no mid sized 4 banger sedan can compare to the TSX in terms of performance, luxury, comfort and convinience, handling, and many other categories.

Actually, more people notice my 03 Coupe than any RSX (Including people driving Acura's!) and the only mod is a set of 18's. The car drives awsome and I can't wait to tweak that sweet K24!

Skip the more common RSX and go for the more exclusive Accord!

notice how the people who like I4 Accord, currently have slow ass I4 Accords.

i like the accord coupe, but your shooting yourself in the foot with a LX auto. now a 5sp I4 EX, that's a much better choice.
