radiator fan not working, help fix
The radiator fan on the 1990 Accord has stopped working. I ran a test jump wire from the battery straight to the fan and it came alive, so the fan motor is good. Where should I check to get it working again.
Does it have a simple temp switch and relay or is it more complicated than that (through computer)?
Any advice is appreciated.

There is a seperate temperature switch for the fan, there is a timer module mounted inside the dash somewhere (behind glove box in my 94) and a set of relays which are inside the engine compartment fuse box. Start with testing the relays, or replacing them... that'll be the easiest. As for the rest of the fan system, I have no idea... im sure someone else will have something to add.

Which fan is not working first the condensor fan or the engine fan? If you don't know which is which post on which side of the engine the fan that's not working is on driver's or pass. There is a sensor by the t-stat on that car that could be going bad, or a relay problem. you need to get a wiring diagram and start checking the circuit out for the bad fan. i like to go backwards from the problem after i check the basic's i.e. fuses, voltage at the bad compontant. I would unplug the fan and check for voltage at the connector to the fan, then go backwards from there. I would get a diagram then try jumping the relay etc.. It shouldn't be too hard to find the problem. You could try to get a honda dealer to let you make a copy of the wiring circuit out of the manual. just some ideas, good luck

Neither fan is working. I ran a jump wire to the big one on the passenger side and the motor works. I didn't test the smaller one.
I see the green connectors on the temp switches that has one in front by the exhaust and one and back by the intake manifold. Which one should I test and how?
I have a test light and a wiring kit to make jump leads, I don't have an ohm meter or voltage tester and I'm $orry but I can't buy them. I have to work with what I have. I'll go to the library and get the chilton manual they have there, I have used it before.
I just need to get this fan fixed so it doesn't blow the head gasket again. I just finished putting a new gasket on it and decked the warped head. Now I just need to get this fan going again so it don't happen again.
Thanks everyone for the help.

I checked the fuse first, it was blown so I replaced it. I jumped the relay and the big fan came on. I jumped the temp switch on back of head by the intake and both fans came on. Does this mean the temp switch is bad? What about the timer module and why was the fuse blown in the first place?
