Default HID Retrofit Question

I currently have the Vision K2 HID kit in my Accord. The glare is very very bad, and I want to switch to projectors. I plan on:

1. Buying aftermarket projector headlights.
2. Buying a set of OEM HID projector lenses ( Audi,BMW,LandRover,Honda, ect.)
3. Then I want to swap out the aftermarket projector lenses with the OEM HID projector lenses.

So my question is if there is anything that I should look out for or that I'm leaving out??? My only worry if I ever get the RangeRover
projectors, is that it might be too big to fit. Also would I be able to use my current HID lights with the OEM projectors, or would I be better of using OEM HID's as well?

I'm in same boat. I have vision/k2 HIDs, but switched oem Audi tt projectors/bulbs/ballasts, and am currently attempting to retrofit.

Only thing i would look into is getting a custom relay made, or making one yourself

I am doing the same thing with a oem BMW E39 projectors in a aftermarket projecot headlights for my 00 Accord. I also bought oem hella ballasts, with D2S Phillips bulbs 4100K. Oldz am pretty sure your going to have to go with an oem hid setup as well. Plus it will be alot better than those generic hid kits they sell.

What kinda kit do you both have, is it the SuperVision or the Vision² 8000K kit.

maybe i missed something but why not just buy HID kit in place of your stock. instead of finding other kits?
or is it because you guys want projectors with HID= different look?

That, but mainly so you get good light output without the glare that comes with retrofit HID kits in stock accord headlights.

Yeah I already have the Vision K2 HID kit. I NEED projectors. My glare is horrible, so that is the logical fix for that. I'm not too concerned with the look, I just don't want to be a hazard to others if I plan on keeping the HID.

9006 rebased D2R in stock housings.(and mind you stock 6th gen housings deal with HID much better than a lot of housings.) The fuzzy part can be translated into glare, glare means oncoming drivers don't get to see, and mean you get people high beaming you.(the blue line on the bottom is my fogs lights with blue bulbs in it)

here's retrofitted HID projector housings.

and this is how they light up the road.

OEM HID projectors put more light on the road where you want it, and not in other people's eyes that are coming at you. You can see better and farther without affecting other drivers. With projectors you can aim them up a little higher to see longer, and it won't affect anyone else. Also for the same price as the average aftermarket HID "Kit" with bulbs and ballasts you can get a complete OEM Bi-Xenon setup and have better light than you ever dreamed of.
