Headers will actually perform better wrapped. Even though it sounds stupid, you want your exhaust gases to stay hot. The hotter they are, the faster they can be expelled through the headers, thereby letting your engine "breathe" better. But bottom line, it's a 4-banger, so any increase in performance is gonna be so minimal, you're not gonna notice anything.

well header wrap will help no matter how many cylinders you have since it's all about heat. the thing is you have to be in a racing situation to generate enough heat to make it worth it, inorder to justify the side effect of your header rotting out prematurely.

So question, since I have an EX, I know my car comes with the 4-2-1 header stock. Now would it be ok if I remove the heat sheild but buy some header wrap and wrap spray for the header?? I mean I don't really need a header. i'm not going to spend the extra money on a DC sport header just to say I have a DC sport header but if I can do this other thing instead then i am cool.

can't really cool intake temps down much...cuz i know if i touch my cai after a long drive...it's barely got any heat on it...so it's already decent
