Default Need help installing my Amp and Sub.

I have a 10 inch Amplified Bazooka Tube. Does anyone know the BEST way to hook it up to the stock Accord V6 system. Do I unhook the rear speakers and use the speaker wire or do I splice on to the rear wires and keep the rear speakers plugged in? Or is there a better way. I would rather not loose the rear speakers.

the rear speakers use HIGH OUTPUTS you'll need the RCA converter so you can convert it to Low and to run your RCA jacks into the AMP. That is the BEST way using the STOCK HU. You might need a filter for it too... becuase sometimes those converters dont work wright.

most amps have speaker level in. you dont need an RCA converter. you can splice into the rear speaker wires in the trunk (so u dont have to run them to the hu). if the sub has "auto sense turn on" you dont even need to run a turn on lead from the hu. the amp should have a "low pass filter". you dont want those high sounds going to the sub.

Yes, the Bazooka Tube has speaker level inputs with a low pass filter. So can I just splice onto the rear speaker wires and still have the rear speakers hooked up, or must the speaker wire run only to the Bazooka Tub Amp?

i've had mixed experiances with speaker level inputs on amps. some dont work with the rear speakers plugged in, so do. chaces are tho, you can just buy some quick splices or t-taps and tap into the rear speaker wires in the trunk for the amp. the easiest way to run the power wire is thru the hole in the firewall for the factory fog light harness. it on the drivers side of the car, kinda close to the brake master cylinder

tapping the rears are a pain in the ass too ... you have to tap 4 wires, run extensions, and hide them.

rca converter, 4 short taps, then rca out ...

its the same as using a speaker leve -> rca converter. if done this on everything from hondas to mercedes benzes. the signal isnt that bad, just keep the volume under clipping levels
