Default Are 5th gen hoods interchangeable?

My friend has a 94-95 accord but a rock of some sort came flying by and scraping the front part of his hood on the freeway. He found someone willing to sell a hood off a 96-97, but wasn't sure if that would fit his car? Does anyone know for sure? They have different part numbers according to Honda, but that doesn't guarantee it won't fit?

so long as both of them have the same number of cylinders, you should be ok

the V6 wont fit the I4 because its 4 inches longer

like the other guy said.... the only difference will be that he'll loose the H emblem, as the 96-97's have the H on the grill.
