Crazy! I'm doing the same thing right now...same engine too...I bought another cover from a junkyard so my car wouldn't be out for a week or so...cleaned mine out like crazy...got the gunk out...used a shite load of paint thinner on it...sanded it down a little more and I paint tomorrow! I'll have to use the beer bottle trick! :naughty: Very clever. Mine's gonna be blue though...matches what I'm trying to do underhood-wise. I'll post when it's all done.

The cover cost like...$5.00 at this place down in Kansas City. It's a HUGE ASS junkyard. They've got about one of everything. Everything down there is really cheap. I think it was the only F22 valve cover down there...probably the only F22 ENGINE!
