Default Air Intakes?

Newbie question for you. Any suggestions on air intakes for a 2000 Accord Coupe? Also - will the ecu automatically adjust settings for the new intake or will I need to make manual adjustments?

intakes are intakes, ebay or brand name. the main differances are:

the bracket and support system. an AEM CAI has 2 brackets, an ebay one just hangs off of throtle body

AEM and Iceman are the only 2 CARB exempt intakes. if you live in CA, you won't pass your inspection otherwise

you can reset your ECU after installation by removing a fuse, i'll give you instructions if you need them

also, the 6th gen intakes are not body specific, coupe or sedan, it's all the same. the V6 and I4 intakes differ though.

Go With AEM. Don't cheap out on other brands when it comes to hondas...AEM will smoke the rest of them out...besides, if you know where to look, you can get an AEM for almost as cheap. Try www.coximport.com. I got my CAI from there for $164. And it was worth it.

The correct way to reset the ECU is:
- open the passenger door
- on the SIDE of the dash is a little door
- pull the door off
- on the back of the door, there is a diagram
- locate (on the diagram) the #13 fuse "CLOCK/BACK UP"
- Now locate the 7.5 amp (MAROON) fuse on the fuse panel
- pull the fuse out
- wait 2 minutes
- re-install fuse
- reinstall door
- drive car "normal" for 15 minutes

credit goes to Ei-Accord for this one

don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise.

the other "method" of resetting the ECU goes like this:

disconnect the battery for 5 min
then reconnect and start the car
let the car idle for 10 min
the end

THIS DOES NOT WORK.

Thanks very much for that Eklypse39. Now I need to price and track down intakes - the AEM one looks a possibility at the moment.
