When I hear the noise I think you guys are talking about its a very low, very faint knock knock knock. But when I listen outside the car the engine sounds like it pppeeeeeeerrrrrfect. I think it's just something bolted to the engine making a bit of noise as the engine runs. Nothing to worry about.

I dunno whats the deal with Hondas. My new Acura TSX steering wheel vibrates a little bit on the highway. As of 7/11/03 I have 2,7xx miles on it and I bought it back on 5/19/03. I dunno whats causing this problem. The tires are brand new and stuff and the alignment looks fine.

Also, my 2001 Honda CR-V is the same, when I drive above 70 mph it starts shaking pretty bad. Rotating the tires helps stop the vibrations temporarily. I had the alignment checked at the Honda dealer and it checked okay. I have to occasionally move the tires from the front to the rear and vice versa to even things out.

Hondas are just weird.

So your new Accura vibes on the hw too? I thought mine was fixed, but it still sux. If I accelerate to 100 and then put it in nutral (man. tranny) I noticed the vib around 75, gets worse at 70, and goes away at 65. Those speeds just happen to be where I want to drive the car on the highway most of the time. I don't know if I'm just being over senstive, but it's really starting to affect my satisfaction with the car. I didn't pay MSRP, but I did pay alot... 22,000 4dr EX-L 4cly MT. Have you had any luck getting yours fixed? The dealer is just about tired of me, and honestly I think the whole situation is pretty sad. I bought a honda to have top quality. If the mo-fo's can't make a car that drives smooth then how great are they? I know the tires are balanced at this point. Tomorrow I'm taking it in for a alignment, but the dealer told me it woudln't help.:screwy:

I just noticed that my six week old 03 LX Coupe shakes at 75MPH+. I have driven it fast, but it was hard to tell on LA's bumpy and rain-grooved freeways. I had a chance to drive on some smooth asphalt freeways, and that's when I noticed it. I didn't think much of it at first, but after a while it started to annoy me. I didn't expect this on a six week old vehicle. The Ford Focus I rented a few weeks ago didn't shake like this.

I noticed that there are minor imperfections all over the place on my new Accord - little rattles, trim panels not lining up perfectly, even some of the body panels aren't aligned perfectly.
I'm only talking about being off by 1/32 of an inch or less, but it's enough to annoy me.

To the average person, it looks fine, but I'm VERY picky and this stuff stands out. I have looked at several other accords and have noticed the same thing. I'd rather pay an extra $1000 to have my car built in Japan and shipped here.

I like to support American work and buy American-made products, but not if the quality is substandard.

Mine was assy in Japan thank GOD! I can help get rid of some of those noises. I went thru my car like with a fine toothed comb. I think you are just really picky like me and probably have a above average car. let me know what kind of noises you are hearing.
