my accord dipstick has two dots on it, one less than an inch higher than the other. would those be the add/full marks? on a toyota the add full marks are clearly labeled in words.

sorry for such a n00b question, I just started getting into cars when i started driving.

 

oil looks kinda like this on my dipstick




is that too much?

 

ahhhhh, yeah!!!!

it would take like 6 1/2 bottles of oil to get it that high on my car. it should be between the two dots.

 

turn the car off, let it sit for a few hours, wipe off the dipstick, and check it again. If its still that high, drain the oil out. That WAY too high.

It should be at the top hole max.

OH SHHHEEEIT ... the oil level is supposed to be between the 2 dots! dip the stick, wipe it ... then dip again to read the level

it doesnt say a word about the dip stick in the owners manual, i had the same question.

how could your oil get that high? do you have a huge dent in your oil pan or something?
