Default Correcting Steering Issues Help

Brand new 2002 Acccord LX, White, Brand new, now has 1000 miles on it. I noticed that I am always correcting ths steering in this car. If you take your eyes off the road for a sec, I could be half way in the next lane, anyone else notice this.....car is a 5spd....do lower profile tires on 16's help with this.....

Anyone with this problem, or I we just concerned about ride height and dvd units?

No, lower profile tires will not help. Because if you have a more high performance lower profile tire on a larger wheel, you'll actually get "road tracking" as some call it, where your tires will follow irregularities in the road. My 18" tires follow road grooves that my 15" tires just roll right over.

I'd say if it's a constant and predictable problem, like it's pulling to one side constantly, an alignment should fix it. See if the dealer will re-align it under warranty.

If it's going back and forth both sides, there could be something more involved.

Thanks for the info, I understand what you are saying about lower profile tires. Not that the car pulls in any one direction, just does not stay on center without having to constantly adjust the wheel. Thanks for the post
