Default tornado + aftermarket intake

is this tornado drop-in for the intake really worth it?
how well does it work?
and will it work with an after market intake like aem short ram?

ive done a search on this forum but didnt really find the answer i was looking for.

if anyone is running this setup or knows if it works, id love the info.

tks

hmm.. ok..

one more..

would it be worth spending the extra $$ on a CAI, or just go with a short ram with a DIY air scoop?

If you don't really have a problem in terms of rain (or just a lot of puddles in your area) than it might be worth looking into getting a CAI. Otherwise, just get a regular short ram.

And in terms of the tornado, a lot of folks (I heard that there was a site a guy created just to tell how much it sucked) say that it's not worth the money. Plus the fact that you want to install it in an aftermarket intake makes it more difficult because the intake pipe diameter is different than stock and it might not fit properly.

Just get the bypass valve if you want the CAI and you should be good. I've had my AEM CAI for over a year in NY and have had no poblems at all whatsoever.
