Wierd, I just wash my car and dry it. Looks about the same as that. I do get it waxed once a month though.

 

I highly doubt it. Like I said in my initial post, "The photos don't do the car justice." A slick, Wet look can't be done by just washing.

 

Yes, perhaps you're right. However, the measures you take require alot of money, and, more importantly, alot of time. So, like anyting else in life, its a tradeoff.

Hater!!!! The year of the car doesn't really matter. He put 21k miles on the car in a year, I know I put like 60k on mine. The more you travel, the more your car is exposed to people, dirt, weather, elements, etc. Mine looks good to other people but I don't even want to do anything else to it because of how disappointed I am in the color/look.

Questions: how long did it take for you to do that by hand? I bought an electric buffer and messed up my car even more w/ the swirl marks, so I went back to doing it by hand. My car's entire right side is rough to the touch because I swear the people @ the car wash dried it w/ a towel that they used to apply Armor All. I don't have any proof, but how can a car be polished twice in one weekend, feel smooth like butter just about, and a couple of weeks later feel almost like sandpaper?? Can Armor All do that?

And what kind of results can you expect to get on a car whose paint isn't showroom quality anymore, lost it's luster a lil, and rough in spots? Do I have to repaint it or could it truly, honestly be resored by using the products you used? I stopped polishing my ride after the last time because I was truly disappointed @ the time and effort to achieve basically nothing. If you say you can restore a junkyard car back to it's showroom glory by using those products then I will invest the time this weekend. Otherwise, imma wait and save up to go to Maaco.

 

im no hater... an 11 month old car if washed weekly, will not look too much different than that car. wow... 21k miles... not much is gonna change it in only 11 months.

i said it looks clean, but its nothing special when its a new car already. Now if that was a 10yr old car, thats a totally different story.

My car is soon going to be 10. White is not as photo friendly as a say a red car, but u get the idea. OEM paint. 151k miles





Now its more of an accomplishment to restore a car thats a decade old, then keep a new car clean. But thats just me.
