clearing headlights
Can anybody post an accurate procedure for clearing the headlights for 6gens? Some pics would be great too. Also, is it worth it to manually clear the lights, or is it better to pop the cash for aftermarkets?

Dang, EliteAccord got it first.
And yes, it's definetly worth it to clear it yourself. If nothing but spending/saving (depending) extra time and saving money, you will at least learn some more about your car. Take off your resonator while you're at it or something.

check out this site below..it's what I used to do mine and it worked out perfectly. One thing to keep in mind, TAKE YOUR TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plan on spending a couple of hours, about 4 or even more in some case. It took me like over 2 hours to the first headlight, and then about 30 mins to do the second one cause I knew what was going on by now. Taking the bumper off is a piece of cake, just try not to break the snap in plastic pieces on the bottom of the bumper (about 5-6 pieces) cause they will cost you about $2 each from the dealer!!! I broke like 3 of them Use a hairdryer and a flat head screw driver and take your time! make sure you clean up the headlights just before you put them together, use some rubbing alcohol to get the crap off and then some windex, and also clean out the inside of the lights including the chrome piece. Also if you don't have a cold air intake by now, I'd highly recommend you put it in now if you plan on buying one cause you got everything open already. that's what I did and it worked out real nice To reseal the lights, I went to Home Depot and bought some GE Silicon II (clear) a big tube was about $5 or so and you need a chocking gun as well. But make sure you clean up any old glue/adhesive on the lights before you reseal them and apply alot of the silicon to the lights, don't worry about making a mess, it rubs right off when it dries, also I'd recommend you wear gloves or somehting cause you'll get it all over your hands! Just make sure to put enough there so you don't have to reseal the lights again! I did it once, used about two coats of the silicon and no leaks I'd also highly recommend getting some clamps, so when you put the lights back together, clamp them together so they form a tight bond, but make sure you put some cloth or something on the lens so you don't scratch it, and not too tight where you break the lens. good luck!
