Default 6gen with subs and rattle trunk, please check in

ok, i bought brown bread for sound deadening my car, especially the doors and trunk lid area where i think the rattles come from when the subs hit. so far i have done the license plate, stock spoiler and took off the rear light housings, so i thought there shouldn't be any more noise. oh boy was i wrong. when i closed the trunk and turned the subs on, rattles were still there but i can't seem to find where exactly they come from. i pull out the side panels in the trunk to see if there's anything hanging lose, nothing i found. so if anyone has done sound deadening the trunk or know where the rattles may come from on 6gen accord, please help me out.

Note: i know i could just do the entire trunk to fix the rattles all at once, but i really don't wanna do so because it will take me too much time to rip everything apart and put it back and most important the material will add too much weight for my slow 4 banger

you have to take everything out of your trunk and go out to a audio store and get some Dynamat. Use that all around your trunk and that should solve most of the problem.

you probably arent gonna be able to just find where it rattles. If i was you i'd go ahead and spend the cash to do the whole trunk. It'll be worth it

a good thing to check would be the tensioning bars/springs that hold the trunk open...

i used the spray-on dynamat & it quieted it down pretty good. i also did the dynamat behind the liscense plate, but it took an extra 2 screws in the sides of the plate to shut it up.

then again, i don't think i'll ever get it completely rattle free considering mine pushes almost 145db.

i am considering taking some of that spray expanding foam to fill in the trunklid, but my bud says you have to do it in small amounts @ a time or as it expands it'll fark up the body panels

i think i didn't explain the noise too well... it's not rattles, rather it's more like a buzzing noise. adslinstaller, did you happen to dynamat the trunk lid? did you put a carpet or anything to cover it up afterwards?

i know where that rattling noise is coming from, its the 6x9 cover and your 3rd brake light hosing.
