Generally speaking, yes. If your suspension is too short, you pretty much ride on the full bumpstops!

I have seen a few Civics with Race springs with and without cutting the bumpstops (before and after). Cutting the bumpstops lowered the cars a little.

so like I said, cutting the bumpstops doesn't lower the ride height, it just allows more travel of the rod in the shock. a bumpstop is what they put on to keep ur suspension from bottoming out

Yeah so it allows your springs to compress to their full rate.

I wasn't able to cut them today, nobody with a key could stay after. that's the downside, I need someone to stay after with a key/code so I can work on my car...gay. Hopefully Thursday though.

not neccessarily, but it will allow them to compress further. It won't lower ur car though.

I guess we'll see the difference after teamlegacy cut his bumpstops.

On the Eibach Sportline you need to cut your front stock bumpstop about 40 mm which is about half the size of stock.

Also the 5th Gen fender for the front is higher so even if you lower your car evenly for example 1.5" front and rear
the rear gap will be smaller then the front gap. That is what I was told before I got my car lowered. And that is why I picked the Sportline it lowered the front about .1-.2" lower then the rear to compensate for the higher front fender.

This first picture is quite old. But see how the front is lower. Which I like.

More recent picture after alot of settling. Its even but the front is still a bit lower then the rear when I sit in in and the fuel tank is not full which is good. With a full fuel tank it sits evenly.

This is why Neuspeed/H&R Sport lowers the front 1.75-in and the rear 1.5-inch.

I thought Neuspeed sport was 1.5 front/1.75 rear

My H&R's are 1.75 front and 1.5 rear....although after everything settled, it almost now seems like 2" in front, and 1.75" in rear. I like the way it looks "raked" like the old Hot Rods.
