CAI worth the money?

Ok, FIRST...yes...i am with removing the resonator..its a cheap cai...BUT..i dont agree with the K&N part!! Why the heck do you spend $50 for an air filter? I just dont get it!! What does K&N actually do? I heard its reusable but how hard is it to clean? And if u clean it, then u gotta wait till its COMPLETELY dry(if u clean it with water involved that is), before you put it back on your car. I'd rather go to a local car shop and buy one for about $12 every 5 or 10k miles, or whenever i FEEL it needs to be changed. I just would like to know why K&N is worth $50 to you guys! Thanx!
And the resonator is ALWAYS located near or around your stock airbox(well, should be), prolly on the passenger side bumper corner void space. Its big and its IN THERE!! Its a great hiding space for it, you'd never know it was ever there!

Hey rebornhondaneer, I just read your post about the k&N filter. The K&N actually increases airflow over the paper filter. It stops just as much debris as a paper filter from getting in your engine. The increased airflow is what makes the extra power. They are not that hard to clean either. Nor do they have to be cleaned that often. So to me a K&N is worth $100. But that is just my opinion.

you spend fifty dollars once and you keep if forever, or, you can spend 12 dollars every 5k-10k miles and the sixth time you've changes it could have had the k&n and change left over. K&N is just a better overall filter

Some cars can gain up to 20% horsepower. I don't think that you will notice much of a difference when changing it on a stock motor. But in the long run when you have a better breathing engine, is where you will notice the difference. However, I did notice that my car ran a little better and actually got 3 more miles per gallon. Hope this helps you out.

Ok, i do respect your arguments BUT...how MUCH difference is there in performance and increased airflow? And any proof? Is it really worth that much? (lol..gotta keep askin that!!)
