Window tint = cuts down on radar detection range
How does it cut down on Radar? I can understand perhaps laser detection which is light based.

www.caranddriver.com has a couple of comparison tests. They are the least biased when it comes to radar detector tests.

Tint will cut down radar reception just like it cuts down on UV light passing through....it's common sense if you think about it.

Every car is tinted from the factory, and some cut down on radar reception more than others. There's a website on this, but I can't remember the adress. The stock Accord cuts down on recption something like 35%.

That's kinda weird, because the OEM windows only block ~7% of the light.

BTW...nice silver coupe. But wow does that car ever need larger wheels/tires. I dunno...the wheels just look small compared to those wheel arches.

I suppose so, but the figure is somewhere between 20 and 40%. I remember that some cars were well over 50% h:

03,

Were you able to negotiate the prices for your added accessories? Did you pay MSRP for each item? Or did the dealer throw the spoiler, fogs in for one price?

Thanks.

Cheers!

Actually they block 29% of light.

I paid about $900 for the fogs and spoiler together, installed. I dont know if thats a good price or not, but I was limited in my negotiation with them. I already agreed to lease the car, then the next day i decided to put the accessories on. But I thought that price was fair.

But watch the installation costs...i've heard some dealers try to jack up the prices of accessories through installation.

If you're going to buy some, buy when on www.handaaccessories.com and have your Honda dealer install them. You'll save about 20%.
