my friend has a 91 and the sports drive wont turn off any suggestions its not the switch in the shifter thnx

 

Since it doesnt hurt performance or driveability, why not just leave it the way it is? I dont think I ever took my 90 EX out of 'sport' mode. All the 'sport' mode did was make the transmission hang in gears longer than the 'economy' or 'normal' mode. no harm.

 

it is going in and out of sports drive on its own. i forgot to put that in the first post

 

How old is the ATF? Is the D4 or S light on sll the time when you are in the Key on (engine off) position?
