been through two sets of cool blue sylvania 9005s, no problems at all, just DO NOT touch the glass ). The wattage difference is so small that it matters not at all.

Arent some of the aftermarket HID "lookalike" bulbs like 100W for high beams(9005) though? I would think that might burn up the harness. Thanks for the help guys.

anything over 55W is pretty bad for your system. you'll start to generate some massive heat in your housings.

Yes only if your stock height. If your lowered then you shouldn't have a problem. When in doubt lower just a little.

most missed the key point. Its not the fact that its a 9005 bulb, but the fact that you cant use an excessively high wattage bulb.

Stick with a normal 55-60 watt 9005 bulb and you'll be fine. 80 is the extreme upper limit, anything above that and you can fry the relays.

Anyone happen to know if Honda (or any other car company) is relaying the headlights on the newer cars (specifically the 03' Accord)?
