But now what you want, is not dual exhaust at all, in fact what I mentioned before, with the one muffler around the rear axle, is not dual exhaust either, true dual exhaust comes from each side of the engine, one pipe to each header. NOW, what you are looking for, from what I see here, is just a muffler with two openings, side by side... am I correct?
you're half right. yes the exhaust is split at the axle, but the exhaust is joined by a Y pipe just before the cat. there are two exhaust manifolds.

Looks pretty damn good on an S2000, and I'm sure it helps performance a bit.

Duals on an S2K are for looks. the f22 or f23 in an accord ain't under the hood of an S2K and don't have the nuts that the S2K engine has.

if anything, putting dual exhaust on a F22/23 will cause more backpressure because of the turbulance caused with the insertion of a "Y" pipe.

You said nothing about an F23 or an F22. You made a blanket statement about dual exhausts in an I4.

According to my book titled "Honda S2000", engineers determined that dual exhausts were necessary to keep emissions and noise levels down because the car revs so high. It is an LEV.

true enough, but we ARE in the accord forum and we ARE talking about putting dual exhausts on an I4 accord. bottom line.... any dual exhaust setup isn't gonna be "designed" for emissions or noise levels.

My bad, there are two exhaust manifolds coming from the engine, but they are immediately joined before one Cat., am I right?

I'm curious, so I have 2 1/4in piping for my dual setup. How much of a difference in hp, roughly is there between a single exhaust setup, and a dual exhaust setup? When I'm hitting the 5000-6000RPM range, it does have a lot of pull.
