No it does not, did you even read that Phat99Accord typed? As long as you get the tires with overall diameter same as stock it will be fine. If it's true about what you are saying you might as well don't get anything bigger or smaller than stocks size.

I was curious and had a talk with the general manager and service manager at Planet Honda on Rt 22, in which they also sell aftermarket parts as well in their service department. As what he informed me.... the honda warranty.. warranties the factory made parts against defects and/or wear.. (lots of stipulations I know..)

And aftermarket parts will not be covered under any factory authorized warranty,, whether they are installed by Honda or from an outside source.

Regarding tire/rim width.. accord cutie and Phat are both correct if the overall circumferential diameter is equal to the original tire/rim... centrifigal forces via tangential degrees will not alter the speedo/odo enough to warrant observable changes.

i did read what he typed, he said " it made my speedometer and odometer show more miles" he said at first he went to get an 30k service, in which i said , the dealer would not care, because,
maint service is not coverd under a factory war ( unless you get a maint. serv war ) then he said after 15k he went in for his tranny.
i said he got lucky!!!!! all i'm saying is that if you have smaller or larger rims/tires , and on what type of repair you are having done to your car, yes, the larger/smaller rims will void your war.

no mod will void your warranty. ur warranty will be voided only if it is proved that an aftermarket part caused the failure or w/e.

heh. so i gather one is saying 18's is going to void warranty?

WRONG! dum fuk.

18's are rims, rims are rims whether 13" to 22" they are just RIMS! they absolutely canNOT void the warranty. Its like saying putting performance tires on stock 15's is voiding warranty. Its just plain bullshit.

its like what str8acura said. nothing can void the warranty unless proven that it caused the problem.

THAT'S WHAT I SAID. WITH THE RIMS LARGE OR SMALL. IT DEPENDS ON WHAT REPAIR YOU HAVE DONE TO YOUR CAR . IF AN NON FACTORY PART MAKES A FACTOY PART FAIL IT WILL VOID THE WAR. HONDA WAR ONLY COVERS HONDA PARTS. !!!!!! I DON'T CARE IF YOU HAVE THE SAME DIMAMETER FROM 18 CONVERTED TO 17'S OR STOCK 16'S. IF THAT AFTERMARKET PART ( RIMS ) MADE ANY FACTORY PART FAIL OR ALTERED A FACTORY PART. YOUR WAR IS VOID. DON'T BELIEVE ME, TRY PUTTING ON 18'S AND HAVE THE STEERING PMP COVERD UNDER FACTORY WAR.

ok people heres the deal. if all else fails and you think there is something majorly wrong w/ ur car just put stock parts back on the car and the dealership cant prove that you had aftermarket parts on it.
and if they try to still void the warrenty tell them thats bullshit and that you will call Honda of America. if they dont see aftermarket parts on your car then your safe

thats all i have to say bout this to end everything

Always put back your stock part if you can whenever you are going in for warranty work. I have seen countless dumbasses on a variety of boards bringing in their cars with the mods and having their warranty denied because of these mods. Tenchically, a dealership has to prove that the mod cause the failure but most dont gave a dam and the first thing they see that is modified, they will denied you warranty.

Some dealership are cool with modifciations, some are not. But my advice is always put back your stock part if you can, even if it's a hassle.
