Default Thoughts on the Tanabe G Power Medallion?

Hi all. I posted my first board on this forum about 2 weeks ago, inquiring about exhuast systems for a '97 Accord LX cpe. I'm fairly new to tuning cars, and unfortunately don't know enough to get me by. So I'm wondering what you all think of the Tanabe G Power Medallion exhaust system. I've done a bit of researching after being referred to Tanabe by a friend, and have started leaning towards this model.

While all thoughts and opinions are welcome, I'm mostly interested in performance and appearance. I don't want a bulky, loud muffler hanging off the back of my Accord. At this point in time the car has a very sharp image, nothing too rice, but nothing too plain. I'm looking to keep that image, but add a nice bit of performance to the car. Granted, exhaust won't do much, but its one piece to the whole system.

If you're against Tanabe or the G Power Medallion in specific, please tell me why, and let me know what you'd suggest instead, for what I'm looking for. Thanks for the help guys. Maybe one day I'll know enough to help some of you out.... :stupid:

I'm totally for tanabe. I think they make very high quality exhaust. I personally have a tanabe super hyper medallion and i love it. Only thing i dislike about it is the enormous large tip.

One thing about the G medallion is you have a very hard time finding a new one. They discontiniued it a whiledback.

I was first referred to the Greddy Evo from a bunch of users on this forum, but after talking to my friend who knows a hell of a lot more about import tuning, ESPECIALLY Hondas, than anyone else I know, told me the Greddy Evo is gonna be a loud son of a bitch. He mentioned that his friend had one, and it was ridiculously loud.

Again, while it may offer killer performance (or may not, I'm not entirely sure), the sound production of the Greddy Evo is something I'm looking to stay away from.

immalooser.... what's the diameter of the tip on your super hyper medallion? and how do you feel about its volume on a whole?

Thanks for the inputs so far guys!

the tip is 4" i believe. Over all, the exhaust is fine. I've been in a car with a greddy evo and i perfer my hyper medalllion over it.

uhmm ur friend that knows a hell of alot of import tuning probably doesnt have any first hand experience of the greddy evo. its acutually pretty quiet w/ a nice and deep tone. loud when you gun it. the tanabe g power is very simular but IMO the greddy evo looks alot better. whatever you do stay away from the tanabe racing medallion, that is hella loud.
