The Powers Of Ebay?
Ok so as i sit around trying to decide how to make my car faster.. i look at websites that sell me "Iceman" Cold Air Intakes for like $100 or whatever.. then i mousey on over to ebay and they claim to be selling the something comproable for only $25.
So i sit in my little cave pondering, is there really a $75 difference in these things?! or does a generic one with a good filter do the same as an expensive one with the same good filter?
Sweet... rock on.

Um i bought one of those "comprable" intakes for my buddy's civic cuz his was messed up and to be honest they are ok but they are not the greatest quality. His sits a lil crooked, but its 25 bucks, just be warned you could be buying crap

My $70 APC short-ram intake is a piece of junk... its all scratched and shitty looking... the filter fell apart 3 times (autozone replaced them for free) and it has no way of mounting the damn thing (without making a bracket). It also does not fit in the engine bay properly... its bent slightly wrong.
I got a generic CAI off ebay for the CL, paid about $50 shipped and I have not had a problem with it at all... plus the finish is soo nice, a nice metalic silver... had mounting points and the filter seems decent...
To me, all intakes are the same... a bent piece of aluminum tubing and a filter... but the overall quality does vary... AEM intakes fit perfect, have a lifetime warranty (I think) and have all the proper mounting points... plus a K&N filter. I guess you get what you pay for.

if it isn't going to add a crap load of horsepower explain to me the extra $100 i should shell out for one of those injen intakes? I look at this from a cash stand point.. right off the bat i'm not going to get huge amounts of anything from doing this. That extra hundred could go towards rims or exhaust or something else.
SumAccord claims to have no problems with his ebay purchase.. i'll just get one of those and get some stickers to make it look legit
