thats what i'm saying... a good filter on shitty tubing shouldnt' make 0 difference from a good filter on stellar tubing.

i know that is where it breathes from but if i stick my head in the air in my house and the air outside.. which is better?

i'm looking for spefic reasons why i should spend the extra $100 not obvious things that the intakes do.

I got one of the generic short rams used for 20 bucks. Condition doesn't matter to me, so when it's scracthed, I could give a shit less. It does what it's inteded to do, and last time I checked I wasn't entering my car into a show. That's where brand matters, in a car show. It does it's purpose and stays it place with the assistance of a few zip ties. Go for it.

I 100% agree. Until AEM and Injen can show me that there intakes make more power as opposed to the generics. I'm talking, more power like...a considerable and noticeable amount...I'll stick to generic.

My view is that an intake is an intake. Unless you need a carb number, don't spend that kinda cash for a tube with a filter on it.

I guess we didn't notice the V2 its just a stick and a filter yet it gets 5 whp on a stock civic and that is not AEM dyno.

It's more than a stick the piping does matter, but if your looking for sound only eh who cares.

It all adds up in the end though as you keep getting bigger power adders...
