Lowered 92 Accord, how do I stop the banging
My accord was already lowered about 2" when I got it. I've worn through front tires because of neg. camber,I put in the (2) adj. bushings in the a-arms, had it aligned, but alot of banging on bumps ,I knew from alignment mech. that struts were bad ,so then put in new kyb struts and skunk2 springs 2" drop 1.8 on rear, still banging, so found out the a-arm ball joint is hitting wheel well. What are my options? Has anyone actually modified the wheel well? Have the same issues with the rear because I bought Wicked Tuning rear camber arms and it's hitting too. I'm really bummed out!! Rides like train wreck!

How long did the tires last you. My old 91 accord was lowered about 2 inches all around, but I rolled with some OEM 95 accord EX wheels and I didn't really get tons of tire wear.
I also tried a camber kit, Ingalls, and had the same exact issue, but only in the front. I had to just get rid of the camber kit.

I can't really say exactly how many miles or how long but it seemed like I went through a front pair in less than 3years. Since I wrote my first comments I have done different things with the front. I checked the travel of the a-arm and did some grinding to help clear where it was hitting in wheel well, but what I just finished doing was replacing the kyb struts with compatable skunk2 struts with the skunk2 springs that I thought I would not be using when the kyb's did'nt seem to fit right with the skunk2 springs. Now with the skunk2 setup in front I feel a real difference and rides solid and much quieter. The noise I have heard in rear was because the damper rubber spring mounts were missing so spring was hitting metal to metal in damper and with the wicked tuning camber arm in rear allows insures that all 4 tires are runnning true. I just like the handling that you get when the car is lowered, so yeah it been a hassle but I like the outcome.
