turbo or h22
sup guys. I will be paying off my car at the end of this month, so i will have some extra money in the coming months. i am trying to decide on getting a turbo for my f22 or getting and h22.
if i am going with the turbo, i don't think i will be running to much boost, i am thinking somewhere between 6 and 8 psi. i have heard that the internals can handle this. and the turbo will put me around 190 whp, which will be faster then an h22.
or i can do an h22. what do you guys think is a better setup?
i don't have enough money for an h22 turbo, so don't recommend.
thx

damn this question again, we did ova 10pages on this b4 the site crashed w/ pics and dyno sheets to back up posts! :madfawk:
basically it works out to this the f22/3 engine with turbo would equal about the gains of a h22 with bolt ons. the h22 is plug and play with little to no maintance outside normally things where as the turbo needs to be well maintained on a regular basis. also there are alot more under cover problems with turbo charging a N/A car than upgrading a turbo on a F/I car. many people who buy after market kits or build cuztom kits run into tons of problems down the line (or in the first phases after getting their turbos) the swap is a simple fix and u have room to grow if u decide to make ur car faster. also the h22 engine and tranny are stronger than that of the f22/23 engine and tranny...
