Default HELP: suspension question/opinion

i'm looking at suspension upgrades for my 96 accord coupe ex. i've considered full coilovers, but don't think they suit my driving habits (and cost too much for my budget). I've narrowed my decision to ground controls and koni specials (reds). what do you guys think? what is a good price for the koni specials (reds), not sport (yellows)? i found ground controls for $322 shipped off groupbuycenter as well. please help me out! thanks a lot!!!!

i am aware of the neuspeed springs, but i'd prefer coilovers. my friend said get the gc's, but someone told me they have been having trouble lately. who else makes coilovers? skunk2 and vis is what i can think of other than those weirdo brands on ebay.

i've always had a preference for konis because of it's reputation and they're on my bro's car, but why would the kyb agx's be a better choice? i like the konis because they are ride AND perch adjustable. i know the specials (reds) are not externally adj like the sports (yellows), but are the agx's that much better?

THANKS!!!

The only coilover sleeves I have ever ridden on are Ground Controls. I have had the oppurtunity to ride on Koni Yellows and KYB AGX's (Both with Ground Controls) and I would have to say that the KYB's ride much closer to stock than the Koni's.

tru tru.. sounds good to me guys, but the reason why i want coilover sleeves is because on my bro's legend... it sags to the left. why? cuz back then, they didn't realize that the car is going to be LHD in the US, so the battery AND the driver is on the same side, thus having the left side slightly lower than the right. also, the stock smooth ride is nice, but how's the compression when taking hard turns? will it still be as soft in hard turns? or will it stiff?

prices i've found for gc and koni reds are:
gc: $322 shipped from groupbuycenter
koni reds: $77 a pop (so $308 for all four)
total comes to $630+shipping for konis

yeah, i wouldnt get red's either. youre better off with kyb's.
im riding on kyb agx and ground controls w/ ingalls camber it. i think it rides well and i have it set in 2 in front and 5 in rear. i dont have it as low as i like it though, and im still having clearance issues w/ the camber kit.

For 200 more you can get apexi ws full coilovers. You would be better off daving up a little more money and getting those. And you'll get a better ride.
