Help Requested: Tachometer needle is snagged on the gauge...
My tachometer needle is acting up on me. I just put in Indiglo Gauges which work fine, but the tach needle keeps getting snagged/stuck at certain rpms. Also, it moves jerkier than before, and it's gettin on my nerves. Any ti[s on getting it to work smoothly, or better than what i am experiencing now?

but the thing is, the needle or any part of it is no where touching the indiglo gauge.
Without the tach/indiglo gauge on, the tach acts normal...
but with the tach/indiglo gauge on, it will stick, but it is not even touching the gauge anywhere...
is it possible to lift the needle a bit so it won't rub againt the gauge?

Maybe from where you see it, it seems like it's not touching the needle, but when it's sitting they way it is in your car, there is a possibility that the needle gonna be caught in the gauge somehow. That's why you should put double-sided tape on it.

you know how u can raise the needle a little bit, but it goes down againts the guage? well, when it is raised, the needle movement acts normal, as if it weren't snagged with the gauge.
however, i need something slick enough to raise the needle without having it snagged/getting stuck when it is in movement.
any ideas?

ok, how bout doing this: remove the old stock gauge, but cut out ONLY the stop needle which the tach needle rests on. glue/tape the stop needle where the tach needle rests into the provided hole of the indiglo tach gauge, that way it wont be as thick as before... lesser chance of rubbing against the gauge correct?
