I have removed my resonator and a K&N Tube Filter. Taking the resonator out made it louder, and then putting the K&N in again made it a little louder as well. Not much louder than with just the resonator out.

I have a K&N air filter in my 4-cylinder, and I dont think it makes a huge difference from the stock air filter.

All it will give you is a cleaner and better air flow... basically its just better for your engine... and plus its cleanable. Other than that... I think K&N claims maybe 1-2 HP increase... but who knows... its prolly just from the fact that its clean rather than dirty like the one you are replacing lol.

I've got the K&N drop in. No difference. When I first got it, it felt like the throttle was a little more responsive, but I think it was all in my head. It also felt like it pulled better when I would explore the upper rev band. Again all in my head. But knowing that I don't have to buy another air filter and the simple fact that the engine breathes better was enough for me to spend the $50.

My dad's 95 Civic DX has K&N filter with stock air box and no resonator. I say if your car is less then 5 years old its a good investment regardless of performance. However he averages well over 16,000 miles a year. So the frequency needed to change the air filter made me get one for him. I too have Iceman CAI with K&N. My mom's 93 Aerostar has K&N filter too.

Stock filter is $10-12 each which needs to be replaced every year. After 6 years you'll receive that money back. $50 for the K&N filter and $10 for the recharger kit.

Yep I do in fact give me a buzz at some point and I will hook you up with Scott who does it real reasonably.

I used to put K&N drop in and remove my resonator box in my 4 cylinder accord. I don't feel any gain at all though. It is noticably louder at wot. If you use the stock airbox, I don't think it will be noisier.
