Default 9005 Conversion? What is it

Before some1 jump off and tell me to do the searches, I did, but on my 28K/56K connection (only half speed kuz old fone line) it took toooo long, 30 mins already (view 4 threads) and haven't found a thing.

What does it mean by 9005 Conversion? Placing 9005 bulbs for low beam? Is it a HID kit we have to buy, or just matter of changing the adaptor to use 9005 for low beam? Will the Light Output better? If so, does any1 got a DIY instruction to how to do it. THANKS A WHOLEEEEEEEE LOT

Its engineering some highs in your low beam socket...

its a beamer but the mod is the same...

yes, the output will be much brighter, obviously, as you are running a high beam bulb as your low beams. Much luck has been had with the Sylvania Silverstars...and they arent too pricey either...40$ a pair i think?

thanks, i'll try it tomorrow, don't want to buy new headlight.

here's my thought, the guide shows that we make the bulb fit the 9006 adaptor right?

Is it okay if I CUT OUT the 9006 Adaptor, and use the extra 9005 Adaptor and connect the wires together and use the new 9005 adaptor in 9006 place. In another word, I'll be using both 9005 bulbs and adaptor, just running the 9006 wires to the 9005 Adaptor. Won't that help witht he Wattage overload problem?

There isn't really a "wattage overload problem"... why would you go through the trouble of cutting diff adapters and splicing wires or whatever the hell you mean... just cut trim two peices of plastic on each bulb... takes you 5 minutes... and your done.

Thanks, got it done today. I was worrying that the new bulb may draw more current and cause more problems, but I guess it's okay then. I used stock bulbs though. Wht happen if I used aftermarket Super White, they're like 80 watts or something, wil it cause problem to the car?
