Default Cautious 92 Accord EXR owner

hello everyone

I just bout a 1992 Accord EXR with 220,000kms on it. It is pretty good condition. I want to add a bunch of things such as Rims and possibly a body kit but I am too nervous about doing that because it has rather high kilometres. Am I right to be this cautious or am I just too cautious. Id appreciate any responses. I know Honda engines will last well past 220,000km but still I wanna be cautious

Thank You

Default Hondas could last forever...

...or until you want a new car.

My 85 Civic's at 356,000 km (222,000 miles) and still running strong, albeit the 76hp engine does leave a lot to be desire. I was thinking of moving up to an Accord but my Civic is one of those rare wagons and the thing is versatile like crazy, Honda just don't make good practical fuel-efficient cars anymore, just either fuel efficient and classy or practical but not fuel efficient (the gas mileage on the Element just makes me want to gag and puke) Maybe I'd go for a 4th or 5th gen Accord wagon if I can find a 5 speed version.

I had an Accord EXR with 220,000km on it and it suddenly seized up right after I refueled while on a road trip.

I replaced the F22 with an H22A and after two years I'm looking at a rebuild because I dyno tested my engine and I was at 123whp.

Honda's don't have extraordinary reliability. They're just cars. Some cars are horrible, many are average, but none are invincible. (I know that no one said that Hondas were invincible.)
